Early-February Show-Suggestion Roundup

frankpatrick, razib, and johnranta: We’re working right now on fixing a date for the meaning/morality show, but the scheduling is proving tricky — it’ll happen soon, though!

razib: We’re actually thinking of doing a show on this with Steve Pinker — as a follow-up to our dangerous ideas show.

bradbarfield: HSAs are something we’ve talked about in story meetings — and we’ll keep the idea in mind for the next time we tackle healthcare.

bigreddog: Robin’s intrigued by a Harold and Maude show. She’ll look into it. It could be a good summer show.

cheesechowmain: We’ll order the Todd Gitlin book and check it out.

mbouchard: Brendan thinks a Passion for Anger show could be interesting – he’ll dig around a bit.

Nikos: We’ve been thinking of doing a show with Dan Dennett — also a a follow-up to the dangerous ideas show.

alokemon: We’ve been meaning to follow up on our first Darfur show. We haven’t quite found the right angle yet, but thanks for prodding us to think about it again.

Winston Dodson: We’ll take a look at the Boys of Baraka film. And Brendan will look into the Iraqi mayor/regiment.

If you’d like to suggest more ideas, please keep writing them on the February thread (here).

  1. Nikos says:

Hey, Katherine, sorry: I wasn’t suggesting a new show so much as operating on the assumption (evidently mistakenly) that Daniel Dennett ahd already agreed to the next show, and it would pop up soon in the ‘bullpen’. Sorry to seem like a gadfly!
