The bishops are acting contrary to the wishes and mandates of our founder, Jesus Christ when He said of the lality "You are the servants of God, and you priest are the SERVENTS OF THE SERVENTS OF GOD. The duties of all priest, meaning all of the heirarchy of the Church, are to teach and bring the Good News of Christ to all Humanity.. When the bishop and the priest fail and commit grieveious sins, pedophilia, embezzelment etc.the laity has no recourse to seek redress. The bishop of Fall Rliver arrogantly refuses to talk, answer phone calls or letters , when approached by a lay person or organiztion VOTF with a grievence. He condems, out of hand, any group of concerned Catholics who form together to reform the Church. We, as practicing Catholics, have no vehicle to air our grievences. While not badmouthing immigrants in general, they do take bold steps to try to ensure safety along the boarder. Last summer New Mexico and Arizona Govs Bill Richardson and Janet Napolitano declared emergencies in several boarder counties, pointing out at the time that the federal government was doing little to ensure safety there.
