Because you clearly spend as much time on the Internet as we do, you’ve no doubt already visited beedogs.com, a site dedicated exclusively to pictures of dogs dressed like bees. There was a dog dressed like a bee at the Petco on Union Square in New York on Saturday. He was very tiny. And a puppy. “He’s a bee,” said his owner, “A very sad bee.”
What you see on the left there is puppy-in-chief Schroeder, dressed like Batman. He won third prize at Petco on Saturday; we explained, gunning for first, that his costume was hand-made in Louisiana during the hurricane, which is true but not quite as dramatic as it sounds. The judges were unmoved. First place went to Elvis, the Elvis who’s sniffing at Batman up there. (More pictures from Petco here.)
