&lt;/i&gt; What was there at that time in the world of literature to represent the female voice regarding sexuality? What I remember is &lt;i&gt;The Valley of the Dolls&lt;/i&gt; by Jacqueline Susanne. (Not exactly great role models but perhaps a good match for Portnoy) Finally in collage I discovered Anais Nin.</description>
