Seattle Meetup with Chris and David

Zeitgeist coffee shop

You can’t really see Zeitgeist here, but it’s behind the coffee cup [bradleyjohnson / Flickr]

Chris and I will be at the Zeitgeist Coffee Shop (hat-tip to Thermos for the suggestion; directions here) on Friday evening from 6-7pm PST. Stop by to tell us what we’re doing wrong and right.

Chris will be the one with more hair. I may have a clipboard.

So we have a rough idea, let us know on the thread below if you’re planning on coming.

Show topic ‘What makes a city great’ you pulled out is a really fine take on the thread, and my own favorite subject. I’ve you emailed twice– to brendan etc– for a ticket but both came back undeliverable. I’ll show up at kuow hoping for a seat.

The economic hit man show was spell-binding. Fast and deep.

I haven’t gotten a response from Brendan either, so maybe there is going to be a “blog swarm” as we all converge on KUOW…

First point of business for the meet-up: Establish the efficacy of giving Brendan a working email address. Of course, maybe his spam guard *is* working.

I’d like to come. We’ll see if I can slog in into downtown.

I’m hoping to make it, but it might be impractical to try the long trip two days in a row. Won’t know till tomorrow. Have fun everyone…

Btw, I just realized that you recorded this show live here in Seattle.

Alas, I don’t think anyone knew.

Certainly there was no buzz and I didn’t hear even one announcement on KUOW.

I’ll be there. Any excuse to go to Zeitgeist. Great coffee and Brian, the proprietor, is super cool.

Well I can’t miss this. I work directly across the street from Zeitgeist. It’s uber-hip.

    Chris and David:

We’ve got blue skies over Discovery Bay this Friday morning — which hopefully will translate this afternoon into the kind of weather Northwesterners seem to prefer to only whisper about amonst themselves. ‘Cause when it’s as it was last week — gloriously blue above, and bathed in white-gold sunshine — and the fresh snow on the mountaintops ringing the Sound glows amberish-pink in the day’s last hour, the last thing you want is to get on a plane bound for a gray place back east.

Oh, crap, now I’ve done it. The whole country’s gonna want to move here….

    Doh!
    ;-)

    Later (maybe).

Zeitgeist serves great coffee and overwhelming donuts. A good pick! I’ll try my hardest to come by.

Western WA locals might be interested in the last 10 posts in the Convergences thread. Three of us are plotting an ad-hoc meet-up in Anacortes.
