Show Suggestion Roundup: July, Part 2

Here is the second roundup of the July Suggest a Show thread. Thanks for sharing your thoughts this month. We’ve been talking about the Middle East a lot, but we’ve also seen good suggestions on topics that span the globe.

benthams_head and zdog, the Buffett/Gates alliance seems to have created a Microsoft-like organization. We also wonder if its stature will aid or hurt charitable work.

nother, we’ll read the article about Jemma Kumba and see if her story would make a good show.

plnelson and Old Nick, we tried to talk about the discuss the mythic roots of war on the David and Goliath show. It was one approach to an otherwise-enormous question.

finkbuilt, we’ve done a bunch of shows on Iran (see here, here, here, here, here and here). We’re still trying to get our heads around the possible impact of an Iranian switch to a euro-based market.

alokemon, we pledged to follow the election and the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Keep us posted on developments as you follow them.

Scarequotes, we’re still thinking about a series on the “road trip.” We’ll keep concerns about gridlock in mind as we work on those shows.

Old Nick, we’ve ordered a copy of Fiasco and we’re looking forward to reading it.

If you’d like to make a suggestion, post it on the August thread. Thanks.
