When the VOLUNTEERS signed on the bottom line, they gave away their rights in exchange for a pot of benefits and pay. This is what an all-mercenary army is all about. Those who don't like the contract they signed can make the same choices that faced others in the past: emigrate, go to prison, take an undesirable discharge -- or suck it up. When you agree to obey a politician (the Commander-In-Chief) and his bureaucratic underlings, you shouldn't be surprised if you are treated with the same cynical contempt that these same folks show to both voters and to taxpayers. It's too bad that some folks learn too late that when you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas.
